Happy 1/2 Birthday Maddie Baby!

Maddie is officially 6 months old! I cannot believe that in another 6 short months, my sweet baby will be ONE! Maddie is growing and changing everyday. We don't go to the Dr. for another couple weeks, but I can tell she is heavier and longer! Here are some fun facts about Maddie at 6 months:

~rolling over both ways everywhere
~starting to sit up, but gets excited and throws herself backwards :)
~scooting on her belly
~says "Yum"
~talks up a storm when she is riding in the car
~plays with any toy you put in front of her, but especially loves her rings, rattle, doll, and Pooh book
~loves when I make animal noises
~finally loves the pool
~if you hold her up she jumps all over the place
~sleeps from 8-7 or 7:30
~takes 2- 2 hr. naps
~loves shopping...she smiles and giggles when I ask her if she likes something
~giggles constantly at Sammy
~loves when I act silly
~loves sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, green beans, bananas, applesauce, pears, and prunes...despises peas and peaches
~loves the songs: Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Patty Cake, If Your Happy and You Know It
~And last but not least she LOVES when I say "Go big girl what you gonna do" and when I sing and make her dance to "Push It" by Salt and Pepa (crazy I know!)

She amazes me everyday and I look forward to all the new things the next 6 months have in store for us.

Chad and I had a 1/2 birthday for Maddie tonight. My mom got her a 1/2 b-day cake from Kroger that was so cute! Chad got her a balloon to play with and she LOVED it! If we bounced it really hard she would belly laugh. We let her stick her hand in the cake, and try a VERY small piece of icing. She did not care for it that much though. I guess that leaves more for Mommy to eat. Uh oh!

Maddie's 1st Wedding

We went to my friend, Beth's, wedding last night. She was a gorgeous bride and the ceremony and the reception were absolutely beautiful. Maddie was such a sweet girl the whole night. We did not get any pictures of Maddie and Daddy, but she was his buddy almost all night. Maddie has a pretty early bedtime, so whenever we break her routine we get a little worried, but she never ceases to amaze us. She was smiling and showing off for all the guests. We are so blessed to have this little girl.
Oh, the dress Maddie wore to wedding was the same dress she wore home from the hospital. It fit her a lot better now and was actually a little snug. I am so glad she got to wear the dress again b/c it is so beautiful. Our little girl is growing up though!

Silly Girl

Playtime with Maddie is my favorite part of my day...other than going into her room when she is waking up b/c she is always so smiley and excited. Maddie is so ticklish. It cracks us up! Her smile lights up a room and makes everyday the best. She laughs at the silliest things I do. If I make her dance she laughs or if I sing "Go big girl what you gonna do" she belly laughs. The goofier I am, the more she laughs...she probably is thinking, "What is wrong with my mommy!" She is our little sunshine.

More 4th of July Pics

Maddie's 1st Fourth of July

I had been nervous all day about how Maddie would do at the fireworks last night. It was way past her bedtime and she is like a clock when it comes to her bedtime and I had to wake her up from her nap. BUT, she proved me wrong and was a perfect angel. She loved walking around and visiting with everyone. When it was time for fireworks she just sat with us and stared in awe at the fireworks exploding. She didn't even flinch a bit! After about 10 minutes she passed out and even slept through the finale. Even my eyes were blinking from the noise, but she didn't move a muscle. She went straight to bed when we got home...and so did we! It is nice to know that she can handle being out of her "routine." I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!

Already A Chatter Box

I gave Maddie my phone to play with for a minute and went to get Sammy to put him up. When I got back this is how I found Maddie with my phone. I laughed so hard b/c it really looked like she was talking on it. She is so stinkin cute!

Just Because I Love Her Smile

Maddie's smile melts my heart. She is such a happy baby...unless she is hungry or tired! Ha! She is always flashing her beautiful smile. We love her soooo much!

My New "Sugar Britches" Dresses!

Maddie kept eating the flower!

Thank you Lindsey for making these fabulous dresses! They are gorgeous! If you have a daughter you MUST get Lindsey to make you something. She has a page on facebook that you can see some of her creations, but you can also pick your own fabric. Also, she does make things for little boys, too. Maddie will definitely be wearing more "Sugar Britches Kids" creations.
