Maddie is 3 Months Old!

Wow! Time flies! I can't believe our sweet Maddie is 3 months old today. She is growing like a weed and is such a joy in our lives. I love spending time with her and will do anything to make her laugh. (Which is pretty easy!) She is such a happy baby. She loves "talking" to us and will smile and giggle when we talk back. She has found a new interest in watching tv after she eats(she has to be propped up for about 20 min. b/c of her reflux), and her favorite shows are Little Einsteins and Mickey's Clubhouse. She will kick her feet and laugh when she is watching! She is starting to roll over. She does better going from her belly to her back, but has gone from back to stomach a few times. She usually gets stuck on her side. We will keep practicing though. :) She is finally letting me read to her. In the beginning she did not care for it too much, but now she looks at the pictures and feels different things in the books. Baths are still a favorite. She loves to splash around and loves her bath squirters. We have pretty much established our nightly routine with a story, bath, bottle, then I put her to bed. She is sleeping from about 8:30-6:30 or 7:30 depending on if it is a weeknight or weekend. We are still working on an established nap schedule though. She usually takes 2 one hour naps in the morning and early afternoon, and about a hour and 1/2-2 hr. nap around 4:00. I think I will focus on this more when I am home with ther this summer. She is still doing a great job at the sitters. I feel so blessed to have Jennifer watching Maddie. Maddie adores her and Jennifer absolutely adores Maddie. It makes it a little easier knowing she is happy and is getting plenty of love and attention. We don't go back to the Dr. till June, but I weighed Maddie last week and she was 12.2 lbs. I'm pretty sure that will increase more b/c she is definitely a good eater! I don't think we can thank God enough for blessing us with such an amazing daughter. We are blessed beyond measure!

Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with our new family of 3. :) On Saturday, Maddie and I went to an Easter egg hunt at Jason and Summer's church. It was really chilly, but it was fun to watch Noah and Sailer running around, and Maddie got a sneak peek of what she was in for next year! On Sunday, we had a delicious lunch at Chad's grandparents. I left my camera at home and did not get any pictures of Maddie in her gorgeous dress that Dede got her before she was even born. I just knew that it was going to be her Easter dress. I will have to put her back in it to get some pictures, because she looked beautiful. Later on that evening we went to Terry and Darlene's for an Easter egg hunt. Maddie's Dede and Boo Daddy spoiled her rotten! :) She received the most beautiful basket I have ever seen and it was filled with lots of goodies. Maddie and Sailer got matching outfits and I can't wait for them to wear them together. We have so much fun with our little girls. Monday, we had dinner with my mom, brother, and Neal. Mom made a delicious ham and all the fixins. She got Maddie a cute bunny that matches the colors of her room. It is even her size! Maddie is such a lucky little girl. Jason kindly took pictures of Maddie with everyone Sunday, but I have to scan them, so enjoy these for now. :)

Spring Break

I am on spring break this week and I'm loving being back home with Maddie. She is just so darn cute!! She is smiling and giggling a lot now and is starting to "talk". It is so funny b/c she thinks she is having this long conversation with us and all we hear is "gah, gah, guh." It is soooo precious. We went to see the Easter Bunny today. She was not very happy and when they finally got a decent picture, she looked like a deer in headlights. That's our big, blue eyed girl. :) She also starting rolling over today from her stomach to her back. Everytime I put her on her stomach now she will roll over. I am so proud of her. We are looking forward to Easter with the family and maybe a few Easter egg hunts. Although this year she will just have to watch the big kids and take notes for next year.

2 Months Old! A couple weeks late :(

Lovin my Bumbo seat

Worn out after Sailer's party

Hi!

Sleeping like mommy!

Maddie turned 2 months old on my first day back to work. I don't think I can put into words the way I felt the day I had to go back to work. I love my job, but I absolutely loved being home with Maddie and just watching her learn and grow. I couldn't even think or talk about her at school without crying. She must of been thinking about me though, b/c her and Chad sent me a beautiful flower arrangement. It made my day. It is getting easier, but don't get me wrong, I am still out the door at 2:50 to go pick her up. It is one of the best parts of my day. Maddie had her 2 month well visit today. She had to get 4 shots! It was sooo sad, but she was a trooper. I think I was more upset than her. She is still in the 75th percentile in everything (head, weight, height). She is a whopping 11.7 lbs and 23 in. long. She grew 1 inch and gained 2 lbs!! I hesitate to type this b/c whenever I tell anyone about her sleep schedule she will try to surprise me, but she is sleeping from 8:30-6:30. I usually wake her up at 6:30, too, to get her dressed before I leave for school, and then Chad feeds her before he takes her to the sitters. I am very happy with this schedule right now, and hopefully it will stick. It's been 2 weeks, so we will see. Here are some pics from the past couple weeks.
