My New Trick :)

Maddie learned how to grab and shake her rattle today. I gave it to her and she grabbed it and shook it all over. Sometimes she would just stare at her hand shaking it b/c she couldn't believe it was her actually making it move. Ha, ha!

On Friday, we met Sara, Emma, and Claire at Maggie Moo's. It was such a cute ice cream shop. I had so much fun on my first official play date. I can't wait till I am bigger so I can eat ice cream and play more with Emma and Claire. :)

Camo Car Seat

When I was pregnant and we were deciding on a car seat for Maddie in Chad's truck, Chad decided that he HAD to have this camo car seat. It is just like the camo he wears when he hunts. I told him that he could have as long as she had some pink to go along with it. Originally we were going to have her name monogrammed on it, but then decided that we wouldn't be able to use it for our next baby, so we got a pink snuzzler to go in it. Yesterday was the first day that Maddie rode in this car seat. When we put her in it she fell asleep immediately! I think she likes it! :)

Our 3 Year Anniversary

Chad and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary yesterday. We had our first "date night" without Maddie. Maddie stayed at Big Daddy and Dede's house while we went to Aspen's. I was craving a good steak. We stuffed ourselves, but it was very delicious! I made sure I saved room for dessert and we had the Aspen's Smores. It made me want to go camping so I could eat more. Ha, ha! It was nice to have a quiet dinner with Chad, but of course we talked about Maddie non-stop. :) She had a great time while we were at dinner. She also got to spend time with her cousins and uncle. (Although no pictures were taken. :( Shame on Uncle Jason! :) )Here is a pic of us before dinner. I am not sure why it turned out blurry, but I guess that helps hide my big momma self. I have lost all my baby weight, but now it is time to get things tone again! I got the go ahead to exercise from my doctor today, so I am going to make an effort to lose a few more pounds and tone up. I've gotta get ready for swimsuit season!!

1 Month Check Up

Maddie had her one month check up today. The Dr. said she looks great. Her stats are:

Weight: 9.8 1/2 lbs.- 75th percentile
Height: 22 in. - 75th percentile

Maddie has been suffering from reflux. We have her on Zantac and the Dr. increased her dose since her weight shot up. She said that if she didn't have reflux she would of probably been 20 lbs! Ha! She is growing like a weed and is doing wonderfully. We couldn't ask for more. We tried to put Maddie in her crib for the first time last night. She was NOT having it. I ended up bringing her back downstairs to her pack and play and she slept like a log. Tonight I tried it again and "knock on wood" she is still up there asleep. It's been a whole 30 minutes! We will see how it goes. I would like her to be sleeping in her bed before I go back to work, but she will let us know when she is ready.

Maddie's 1st Snow :)

Either I was ready to my bottle or I really like to eat snow. When Mommy took me out for 5 seconds for a picture I had my mouth open the whole time trying to catch snowflakes. It was so wonderful! I can't wait till I can play in the snow...if it ever snows again. :)
