1 Month Old and Smiling :)

Maddie is one month old today. I cannot believe that a whole month has passed since she entered this world. It definitely has flown by and I am sure it will continue to do so. Maddie has brought so much joy into our lives. She is the most magnificent thing created by God. We are so fortunate to be her parents. Maddie is on somewhat of a schedule. She eats every 3- 3 1/2 hours. She takes 2 pretty good naps during the day that usually last about 2- 2 1/2 hours. Her last feeding before bed is usually around 10 or 10:30 and then she sleeps till about 2:30 or 3, eats, and then gets up around 6:30 or 7. I really can't complain. I hope the middle of the night feeding stops when I go back to work, but she needs it to grow right now. Maddie does great when we take her out. She has been shopping, out to eat, and even to a b-day party. I couldn't imagine life without her now. She is starting to smile when she wakes up and I am changing her or putting on her clothes. It is sooooo cute. She is starting to babble a little, too, when we are playing or when I am changing her. I can't wait for her to back to the Dr. next week to see how she is growing. She definitely seems bigger to me. We love her so much!!

Valentine's Day

I got all kinds of goodies for Valentine's day. My birthday came at the most perfect time, b/c I get to celebrate all of my "first holidays" this year. :) Daddy got me a monkey b/c he calls me his little monkey. Dede and Boo Daddy got me a lion that purrs, headwraps, and a Baby Einstein CD. Nana got me valentine's teddy bear that is very snuggly and my V-day outfit. My Uncle Steve(he works with daddy at the funeral home) also got me a cute valentine's bear. I got a cute outfit in the mail from my Great Aunt Jani, too. I am so lucky to have so many people that love me.:)

I love baths!

Maddie loves to take baths...until I wash her hair. Then, she is over it! I loooove that she likes the bath b/c it is one of my favorite times with her.

First Bath and Hanging Out

It has been a few weeks since I last updated. Being a mommy is a very busy job. There are some days that Miss Maddie will not sleep unless it is in my arms and that makes typing difficult. :) I love that she is a little cuddle bug though. Maddie did not like her first sponge bath, but then after her cord fell off she loved her real bath. I have pictures of the real bath still on my camera so I will post those later. These are pics from her sponge bath. We have ventured out a couple times by ourselves. There sure is a lot of gear involved in traveling with an infant. She loves riding in the car and being in her stroller as long as it is moving. :) Maddie usually sleeps from 11-5:30 or 6 every night. We are very lucky!! Every so often she will wake up at 3 or so though. (Like last night!) She is eating very well and I can tell she is putting on the pounds. I love chubby babies and I hope she fills out some, too. :) Jason took some pictures of her the other night in her tu-tu. She did good for like 5 min. and then she was over it! He got a really cute one of her with her eyes wide open. I will probably use it as part of her announcements. He is going to take more tomorrow, so hopefully they go a little better. I am truly enjoying being a mommy. I have already started crying thinking about going back to work, but I know she will be in great hands. Luckily I will only have like 7 more weeks of school and then I get to spend everyday this summer with her. Swimming pool here we come! I will post more pics when I get time to upload them. :) Enjoy these for now!
