Is this the baby?!

A couple weeks ago I think I felt Baby Pendley's first movements. I know that would be extremely early, but it was in the same spot that he heard the heartbeat and has pretty much stayed in that area. I have felt the same feeling almost every other day since then and it is usually in the evenings. But, this morning I had just got back in bed from one of my many bathroom breaks and I felt it this morning. Either I am experiencing some weird muscle spasms or this is Baby Pendley telling me hi. I really hope that it is the baby b/c it makes me so excited and gives me so much relief to know that there is a baby in there kickin'. :) We go back to the Dr. on Monday for our 16 week visit to hear the heartbeat and then on Tues. we are going to Baby's First Images to get our first ultrasound!! We are hoping to find out if our little peanut is a girl or a boy. Pray that Baby Pendley cooperates!! I also just can't wait to see a picture of our baby since we have not had an ultrasound yet. I will post a belly pic after our appt. It is definitely growing. My mother-in-law was kind enough to take me shopping the other day for some maternity clothes. It was so much fun! I even tried on the pretend baby bump to make sure my outfits I got would last throughout my pregnancy. We also got the most amazing invention...the belly band. It looks kind of like a tube top and you wear it over your pants so you don't have to button them. Since most of my pants are very snug right now I have put that sucker to great use. It is awesome! Well that's it for now...hopefully we will have some gender news on the next post! :)

4th of July

I forgot to post a few pics I had from the 4th. We had a pretty relaxing day. We swam and laid out for most of the day, and then we went to Terry and Darlene's to eat BBQ. It was delicious! After our bellies were full we got ready to go to the square and met some of our friends up there to watch fireworks at the funeral home. The fireworks were much better this year than last year. Our friends, Rob and Brittany, just had baby and they brought her up for the fireworks. She slept thru the whole show! She is such a beautiful and easy going baby. We really enjoyed our 4th and I hope that you did, too!

2nd Doctor's Appointment

Chad and I went back to the Dr. on Monday for my 12 week visit. Do you know what that means...I am one week away from my first trimester being OVER!! I am so excited. Finally I have started feeling better and have more of an appetite. Anyways, back to the appt. I only gained one pound, so that's good. We got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler and it was indescribable. It was so clear and so fast. The Dr. was able to locate the heartbeat almost immediately. I was so relieved. This really made me feel like there really was a baby growing inside of me. I cannot wait to go back to hear it again. Still no ultrasound this time. :( The Dr. assured me that everything looked and sounded great. :) We go back for our 16 week visit on Aug. 4th, and then we are going to have a 3D ultrasound done at Baby's First Images in Alpharetta on Aug. 5th to find out what we are having!! We could not wait till our 20 week visit to find out and this place will do a gender determination ultrasound as ealy as 16 weeks, so I signed us up. Chad took a picture of my 12 week belly and I will post it soon. I had to take it after I ate something, b/c that is when you can see the "bump" better. Please continue praying for all 3 of us.
