I can't believe it has been 2 months since my last post...I thought that I would be a blogging fool during the summer b/c I would be off work, but we have been staying busy! Most days we soak up some sun at the pool. Maddie is a little fish these days and when she is not swimming she is splashing in the kiddie pool with her mermaids. (Her current obsession!) We do take a break from the pool to do a little shopping, playing, and trips to the yogurt shop! (I think I like it more than Maddie!)I haven't wrote a "what your up to" post in a LONG time! These days just fly by and it is so bittersweet that our little girl is almost 2 1/2!! Maddie is such a smart little girl with a great imagination (and memory!) She loves Little Mermaid right now and anything to do with mermaids. She loves to color and play with stickers. She loves to sing and dance. (Or shake her booty, as she would say!)She is very independant and if I try to help her with something she yells "I do it!" Maddie has been a big talker since she was younger...I think she developed that quicker since she decided to walk later! It is very easy to carry on a conversation with her. She says the funniest things! She is sleeping in her big, full size bed and doing great with it! So proud of her! She knows all of her ABC's and almost all the sounds they make. She can count to 12...but, skips 6 sometimes! :) She knows all of her colors and most shapes (circle, diamond, square, rectangle, oval, star, triangle)We started potty training Maddie on July 7th. To my surprise she has done GREAT! She has only had 2 days with a couple accidents and now will potty and poo (sorry, if that's gross!) in the potty! The next step will be getting her to use the regular potty instead of her pitty chair, but I'm so proud of her for taking so much interest in it! She wakes up in the morning saying "No pee pee and no poo poo in my pretty undies!" I hope to be a little better with my poor neglected blog, so until the next post enjoy some pictures of our sweet girl!
