Atlanta Zoo 2011

We took Maddie to the zoo today to take advantage of the beautiful weather we are having. She had a ball!!! Her favorite exhibits were the monkeys and pandas. We had to get a panda of her own to take home as a souvenier and she has not let go of it! This girl loves animals and she realy loved saying their names and the sounds they make. She would show them her juice or wave hi to them just like they were friends. Ha, ha! I really wish this spring-like weather would stick around. We are taking full advantage of it!

Happy Birthday Lily!

Maddie celebrated her friend, Lily's, birthday this weekend. Maddie and Lily are a day apart. Her mom, LeAnn and I went to high school together and were pretty much neighbors in the hospital when we had our sweet girls. Maddie had soooo much fun playing Little Bears. It was such a cute place! I think the favorite of all the kids were the bubbles! They were hilarious to watch!

Maddie's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Maddie's 2nd birthday this weekend. We had a "family birthday party" this weekend and then in a couple weeks we will be having her "friend" party at Gymboree. Maddie is obsessed with Kai Lan, so of course we had to have that included in her party. Our families joined us on Saturday to celebrate Maddie's birthday. She had a BLAST! She went to sleep 2 hours past her bedtime and she kept telling me she wanted to play more. We had some of Maddie's favorite foods: pizza and chicken. She also dug into her cake! (She takes after Mommy in the sweets department!) Maddie adores her family and was so excited to have everyone at her house. Thank you to our wonderful families for celebrating our special girl this weekend!

Snow Week

Maddie and I enjoyed spending the week together during the Blizzard of 2011. I can't believe that we were out a WHOLE week! As much as I loved spending time with Maddie, I do NOT want anymore snow! I think we are both ready for afternoons spent playing outside. Let's hope the groundhog does not see his shadow b/c spring needs to get here FAST! Maddie enjoyed playing in the snow, but did not like walking on it much. The snow had a hard layer of ice on it, so we had to stomp to get through it and she was not a fan of that. She did throw a good snowball though! I'm glad she was able to see a big snow, but I think we have seen enough now...thanks!
