Maddie loves Daddy

Round 2 of Pool Time

Maddie and I went to Jason and Summer's for round 2 of pool time. This time was a SUCCESS! She splashed around a little in the pool, then passed out for LONG nap. I put her in Sailer's float and she floated around the pool while she was napping. When she woke up she still loved the water. I hope that she is getting used to this whole pool idea and will love swimming this summer. She was such a little bathing beauty!

Memorial Day 2009

"Get me outta here!"
Maybe this isn't so bad!

Posing before we left. I made sure she had her 65+ SPF sunscreen for that porcelain skin! Ha, ha!

Maddie and I met Chad and the family at the pool on Memorial Day. Terry cooked his DELICIOUS ribs and we "swam" all day until it was time to eat. Well, the plan WAS to swim all day at least. I was for sure that Maddie would love the pool b/c she loooooves her bath. Jason and Summer had the pool heated and ready to go, but Maddie was not having it. I think she was a little overwhelmed and the sun was in her eyes. I had a hat on her, but she didn't want to wear it either. She was not a happy camper. I think we are going to have to introduce the pool to her very slowly. Hopefully she will end up loving it! Chad even blew up her big float, but she refused to get in it! Ha, ha! At least she looked cute while we hung out, OUTSIDE of the water!

4 Months

Maddie is officially 4 months old! I cannot believe how fast time goes by. She is getting so big and she is really developing a cute personality. I am looking forward to my time with her this summer. It is hard to believe that when I go back to work, she will be over 6 months old! I am definitely not going to rush it though. We go to the Dr. for her shots and check up on Monday, so I will have some stats then. I think she is beginning the teething process. She is chewing on everything! I really hope that if she is teething they come in quickly so they don't hurt her too much. I will miss these gummy smiles though! :) Maddie is truly a blessing and words cannot even begin to describe the joy she has brought into our lives. I can't even remember what my days were like without her. We love her soooo much!

Gosh I Love This Little Girl!

Playing in my exersaucer!

Maddie has really started to show interest in her exersaucer. She loves spinning the little wheels and grabs for the sun. She also like to look at herself in the mirror. It is so cute to watch her play and concentrate on what she is doing.

My 1st Mother's Day

I was just thinking today about how on Mother's day last year I got sick, but had no clue that I was pregnant. Then, a week later I found out that I was pregnant. It was such an exciting day for me. Now, today I was able to celebrate my first mother's day with my sweet angel. Being a mommy is one of the biggest blessings God has given me. She is truly amazing and I could not think of anything better to do than to spend time with her everyday. Chad asked me if I wanted him to wake up with Maddie today, so I could sleep in a little later, but I told him no. Going up to her room and watching her wake up is one of my most favorite times of the day. She is such a smiley girl in the mornings and it is just so darn cute! I have already received the best gift I could have ever dreamed of and that is my sweet Maddie.

We did have a wonderful day. We hung out this morning and Chad and Maddie gave me my first mother's day cards. They gave me my present early b/c they couldn't wait. It is a gorgeous garnet necklace that is surrounded in diamonds. I loooove it! I love it even more b/c that is Maddie's birthstone. I want to go find lots of red things to wear just so I can wear it everyday. Ha! We went to Chad's parents for lunch and spent time with the family. Then we ended up at Maggie Moo's for some delicious ice cream. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I do wish I got to see my momma though. She was helping my brother move in to his first apartment, so hopefully we will be able to celebrate later this week. I do have an amazing mom though! She has always thought of us first and even to this day would do anything and everything in her power to make sure we are okay. I love her so much! I hope all the mommy's out there had a wonderful day!

Rice Cereal

We gave Maddie rice cereal for the first time yesterday. She actually did really well with it. She has been showing a lot of interest in our food lately, so I thought maybe she was ready for it. She still needs practice, but she giggled the whole time. I think she actually liked the taste. So far, she is my good little eater! :)
